Amanda Ryan-Smith, CFRE

Director of Development

Amanda Ryan-Smith  joined NCLR as Director of Development in August 2013. Amanda is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), who has been leading nonprofit fundraising departments for over a decade. Prior to joining NCLR, she was Director of Development & Marketing at the Austin Humane Society in Austin, Texas, where she grew fundraising income by more than 30%.  She previously worked at United Way and domestic violence agencies in Texas and Massachusetts. She received a bachelor’s degree in social work and psychology from Baylor University and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Texas, Austin in 2001. Amanda was born and raised on a farm and ranch in Oklahoma. She currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with her partner, Carolyn, and their daughter, Beatrice.
