Elizabeth Deeley, Esq.
Elizabeth (Beth) Deeley is a litigation partner in Kirkland & Ellis LLP’s San Francisco office. Beth has a wide-ranging, complex litigation practice, and has handled a variety of matters including consumer and investor class actions involving unfair business practices, antitrust, securities, fraud and consumer protection issues; contract, fraud and other commercial disputes; and employment discrimination and civil rights lawsuits. She represents clients in a diverse array of industries, including financial services and investment, software and technology services, communications, health and fitness, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment.
Beth is deeply committed to expanding diversity in the legal profession. She serves as Co-Chair of Kirkland’s firmwide LGBT subcommittee and is a member of the firm’s Diversity Committee. Beth was selected as a 2011 Fellow for the Leadership Counsel on Legal Diversity, a national organization comprised of law firm partners and in-house legal officers with the goal of increasing diversity within the profession. She is also dedicated to ensuring the provision of pro bono services to clients in need, and serves as the Pro Bono Coordinator for Kirkland’s Bay Area offices and is a member of the firmwide Pro Bono Committee. In addition to overseeing Kirkland’s pro bono program, she personally has represented pro bono clients in a variety of litigation matters, including employment discrimination, immigration and civil rights cases. Beth also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Legal Aid Society—Employment Law Center.
Beth was recently named among the Top Women Litigators of 2011 by the Daily Journal. In 2010, the National LGBT Bar Association recognized Beth as one of the Best LGBT Lawyers Under 40. She earned her Juris Doctorate with Honors from The George Washington University Law School.
