Fresh Lev White
Fresh “Lev” White is an activist for love and compassion. He offers training, mindfulness, and mediation as tools for shifting towards more authentic and passionate living. As a writer, he ministers love, and the power of the breath to his global community.
Trained by CUAV in 2002 and certified as a speaker by Out & Equal Workplace Advocates, Lev has offered over 200 Trans, Gender Expansive, and LGBI Ally Trainings around the Bay and beyond. He also teaches a workshop entitled “Dismantling Microaggressions in the Workplace” which has been received with success by corporations, nonprofits, and spiritual centers from Florida to Los Angeles.
Coaching since 2007, and with his period as an Employment Specialist at the SF LGBTQ Center (2012-2017), Lev has supported hundreds of entrepreneurs, coaches, executives, and job seekers through discovering and/or committing to acting in the direction of their life work or immediate goals.
A graduate of Spirit Rock’s Community Dharma Leadership program, Lev offers mindfulness and Dharma teachings in his home at the East Bay Meditation Center (EBMC), SF POC Dharma, NAPA Insight, L.A. Insight and other spiritual centers, as well as, secularly near the Bay and Beyond. He is the founder of the first known West Coast meditation group for the trans and gender expansive community: Trans and GQ Mindfulness sangha. Lev aka, Fresh!, is a contributor to Real World Mindfulness for Beginners and The Trans Buddhist Anthology (Oct. 2019); he is also co-wrote the first chapter of Trans Bodies; Trans Selves.
Lev, sat on the Boards of the SF Dyke March (2003-2005), the SF Trans March, (2008-2017), SF TDOR, (2012-2017) and as an Ally on the advisory board for Bridge HIV, SF (2015-2018). He was San Francisco Pride Grand Marshall for 2016, and was awarded, a “Transcending Award of Excellence” by the San Francisco Transgender Day of Visibility board in 2017.
