Proyecto Poderoso: How We Help

NCLR is committed to ensuring that rural LGBT communities get access to effective and respectful legal aid. Proyecto Poderoso combines legal strategies with culturally responsive community education. This partner­ship with the California Rural Legal Assistance, Inc. (CRLA) provides training, resources, assistance, and advocacy to ensure that rural legal service providers are welcoming, respectful, and able to serve low-income LGBT clients. Please contact NCLR or CRLA if you:

  • Need legal help and live in a rural California community
  • Want to bring LGBT cultural competency to the legal  aid program in your state or region
  • Want to bring LGBT cultural competency to training to your state agency
