While 2012 was an incredible year for Maryland's LGBT communities and our allies, our work is not done. Transgender Marylanders remain unprotected in state law from discrimination in employment, housing, places of public accommodation, and credit.
One evening of your time is all it takes to visit your legislators and tell them how important it is to you to protect all Marylanders from discrimination. One evening of your time is all it takes to join us in a massive rally on Lawyer's Mall, just outside the legislative buildings and the State Capitol. We must let everyone know that we will not rest until we achieve equality for all Marylanders and the Fairness for All Marylanders Act (SB 449) is passed.
This year, Lobby Day will take place on the evening of Monday, February 18th. The rally at Lawyer's Mall will start at 6:00. After you sign up, Equality Maryland will contact you with all the details you need to join us for the rally and to lobby effectively for trans equality.
