
Minna Tao | board member
Minna Tao is a finance and operation executive specializing in efficiency and process re-engineering. In 2004, when San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsome allowed same sex marriages to take place in San Francisco, she was the Deputy Assessor Recorder in charge of operations and technology, and worked to increase marriage capacity from an average of 25 per day to 1,000 per day.
She is very active with the community, and in addition to serving on the National Center for Lesbian Rights Board of Directors, serves on the Chinese Cultural Center's Board of Directors. She served as Project Open Hand's Board Chair from 2006 to 2007, and has been a board member of both Equality California and Alice B. Toklas.
Minna lives in Oakland with her partner, Cynthia Pino, and her daughter, Elizabeth.
