Wood v. Wood

NCLR represents Hannah Wood in a Florida child custody case against her former partner, Courtney Wood. Hannah and Courtney had a child together using alternative insemination. After the couple separated, a Colorado court granted Hannah visitation with the couple's daughter. Courtney fled the state with their daughter and filed an action in Florida, seeking a ruling that Hannah has no parental rights. Represented by NCLR, Hannah successfully argued that Colorado, not Florida, had jurisdiction over the case. NCLR cooperating attorney Kyle Velte represents Hannah in the Colorado action.
