Thank you for joining us in this effort to gather stories showing that these new airport security procedures are harmful.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A LEGAL INTAKE FORM. By filling out this form, you are sharing your story to aid advocacy efforts, not to obtain individual legal information or assistance. NCLR, TLC, and NCTE are not able to offer legal advice or assistance based on information submitted in this form. We also encourage you to submit a complaint directly to DHS
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) collects complaints relating to TSA screening procedures through its Office for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties. In order to urge them to change their procedures, we need to make sure they are hearing about the problems experienced by transgender and gender nonconforming passengers through their internal complaint process as well. We encourage you to submit your story directly to DHS. It’s easy:
Step 1: Follow this link to the DHS complaint form
Step 2: Complete the form, including a detailed description of your experience
Step 3: Submit the form to DHS either by mail, email, fax, or through us.
DHS investigates all civil rights complaints to the extent possible with the information they are provided. If you wish to stay anonymous, or if you would simply like help submitting your complaint to DHS, please contact the NCLR helpline, the TLC helpline, or NCTE. We are more than willing to submit stories to DHS on your behalf.
