NCLR Mourns Coretta Scott King
(San Francisco, CA, January 31, 2006) — "We are profoundly saddened by the passing of Coretta Scott King, particularly in a time when fundamental injustice and full equality is imperiled. The greatest honor we can strive for is to emulate her life's work. We lost an ally and a hero," said Kate Kendell, Executive Director of the National Center for Lesbian Rights.
The National Center for Lesbian Rights is a national legal organization committed to advancing the civil and human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people and their families through litigation, public policy advocacy, and public education.
