The National Center for Lesbian Rights Commemorates Third Anniversary of Marriages in San Francisco

(San Francisco, CA, February 7, 2007) — This year marks the third anniversary of what the world has come to recognize as a profound moment in civil rights: the marriage of more than 4,000 same-sex couples in San Francisco. Although those marriages were later voided, the visible humanity and devotion of the couples wasn't.
Now, as we head to the highest court in the state, the National Center for Lesbian Rights is honored to be representing our community and the principles of freedom fairness for all in this historic case.
