Arlette T. Smith
Arlette T. Smith worked as a Child Protective Services Social Worker, as well as a Guidance Counselor with the Boston School District, before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area. She has been employed as a Child Protective Services Social Worker for the City and County of San Francisco for almost 26 years.
Arlette grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and attended Friends’ Central, a private Quaker School. After graduating she moved to Boston, Massachusetts, and obtained a B.A. in Psychology and a Masters in Social Work from Boston University. She has also attended the Sorbonne University in Paris, France, during a summer session where she studied Advanced French.
In her spare time, Arlette enjoys practicing karate, as well as sometimes volunteering to help shelter animals. Her spouse, Patricia, is a Public Health Nurse and they have been married for almost 22 years. They enjoy traveling and spending time with their dog Makani, and their two cats, Nelson and Xena.
