As Finance and Administration Manager, Sara manages day-to-day and long-term operations for NCLR’s organizational needs. She comes to the national LGBTQ movement after years of local and state LGBTQ advocacy, believing in the power of movement building through conversations, organizing, and the mentorship of youth. Since moving to the Bay, she shifted her advocacy work to economic empowerment and has worked to create platforms for community building and networking for LGBTQ entrepreneurs. Sara has also organized progressive, anti-racist campaigns tackling police brutality, restoring voting rights for convicted felons, and elevating workers’ and immigrant rights. Sara earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a concentration in social welfare from the University of North Florida. In her free time, Sara enjoys meeting all the cats and trying strange chocolates.
