Tomorrow, “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” the discriminatory nearly two-decade old policy that bars lesbian, gay, and bisexual people from serving openly in the military, will officially be repealed tomorrow.

And you don’t want to miss NCLR Federal Policy Director Maya Rupert’s touching Huffington Post piece remembering her father—an older black man, a Vietnam veteran, and a Christian—who described the policy as an “embarrassment to the armed forces that couldn’t be justified.”
