Sara Ramirez(San Francisco, CA, November 2, 2015)—On Saturday, November 7, 2015, Tony Award© winner and “Grey’s Anatomy” star Sara Ramirez will host a fundraiser at the San Francisco LGBTQ Community Center to benefit The National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR).

“The work that NCLR does is remarkable and extremely necessary for the LGBTQ community. Their attorneys work with every member of our community, from LGBTQ parents, immigrants, and transgender individuals to survivors of conversion therapy,” said Ramirez. “The work that they do is essential and I’m honored to be hosting this event for them.”

“It is a real thrill to partner with the multi-talented Sara Ramirez on a super fun event to benefit NCLR’s Ruth Ellis Giving Circle, which aims to elevate and uplift the voices of women of color in LGBTQ philanthropy. Sara’s passion for our work and achieving full LGBTQ equality for every member of our community is inspiring. We look forward to a great evening of music and message.”

The event, “Music and Conversation with Sara Ramirez,” starts at 5:00 p.m. and will feature performances from Ramirez, Maya Jupiter and group Cambalache.
